Nelly gets crazy
This isn’t the first remake on the Gnarls Barkley track Crazy nor is it the best. In fact the best slow tempo version is probably their own from Top of the Pops. Nonetheless Nelly Furtado does a reasonable one-take, no-overdubs, live version that can be found here. It was recorded at the BBC for Jo Whiley’s Live Lounge.
At times Nelly and band’s performance is chilling and then at others it feels lacking. I think she must have been listening to Sarah Harmer records as her voice sounds very similiar on this track.
